What kind of dermal filler are you interested in?


On this page you can find several wrinkle reducing products, ordered by their characteristics.
For all fillers is what you see is what you get. Take in account however, that directly after the treatment local swelling may occur. This will gradually disappear within the following 24 hours.

* Short-term effect (lasting up to 1,5 years): product:
  Products with an effect that lasts up to 1,5 years are mainly used in the most sensitive areas of the face, like lips and more superficial wrinkles.  
 
  • effect up to 6 months:
    		•  
      Products with an effect that lasts several months are in general cheaper than products with a longer lasting effect. This is an added argument to be treated with a short-term product in order to be able to judge the result. If your satisfied with the end result, application of a longer lasting product would then be the next logical step.       The products in this category are mainly used in areas of the face where a flexible filling is required, like lips, superficial folds, and possibly in addition to the use of botox to treat frown lines. Teosyal Global Action
    * semi-permanent effect (lasting 1,5 up to 3 years):
      Semi permanent dermal fillers are applied in the same areas as permanent fillers. They can be used to fill out sunken cheeks, fill naso-labial folds, and enhance the cheek contour. They can also be used to improve the appearance of the lips as a whole (only Teosyal).

    General remarks about permanent dermal fillers:.

    The pros and cons of permanent fillers have been subject to vivid debate. The opinion of the professionals has moved towards reducing application of permanent fillers in favour of semi-permanent fillers. This has been confirmed in 2006 by the Dutch Government (see RIVM-rapport (only in Dutch)).
    The benefit of semi-permanent fillers in comparison with temporary fillers is their cost-effectiveness, since semi-permanent fillers need to be applied less often.
    Semi-permanent fillers also have the added benefit that it's possible to correct or improve the result with each new application and every new treatment you get the newest state of the art application and materials.
    This has led Rimpelconsult to have stopped applying permanent dermal fillers since early 2006.
