Teosyal^®

Risks

Side effects are rare when Teosyal® is administered skilfully and your specially trained doctor will do everything in his power to obtain the optimal result. Nevertheless, the chance of a complication never can be ruled out, but we do guarantee you a maximum effort to obtain a good result, but cannot give you 100% certainty of succes or absence of unwanted side effects.

After your treatment with Teosyal® some general reactions can occur like swelling, redness, tenderness and sometimes discoloration around the injection spot.
These effects usually disappear spontaniously within 1 - 10 days after the treatment and can be reduced by cold application after the treatment (you will receive a cooling pack for free).
Very occasionally a small skin blood vessel is punctured which causes a (little) blue spot. This hematoma disappears within a week and can easily be camouflaged by a good make-up foundation or a special stick (ask your beautician).
Generally speaking you can proceed with your normal activities the day after your treatment at last.

Teosyal is free of animal compounds and has therfore no risc of producing an allergic reation.

Your doctor will do his utmost best for an optimal outcome, but the likelihood and nature of any complications can not be provided, so no guarantee can be given on the success or other outcomes of the treatment.

Method

After filling out a health-related questionnaire and having your picture taken, the skin will be disinfected, and the Hyaluronic Acid will be injected under the skin with a very thin needle. For very sensitive areas like the upper lip a local anesthetic (lidocaine) can be applied, but in most other locations this will even not be necessary. The only thing you'll feel is a slight sting when the needle enters the skin. 

After the treatment

Immedialtely after the treatment you have to avoid during 24 hours pressure on the treated area, extreme facial muscle movements and drinking of alcohol. Also stay away from to much UV-light  Don't hesitate to consult your cosmetic doctor after the treatment if you see unexpected effects of the Teosyal^®.

The price of the initial visit is € 40, and will be deducted from the final price if you decide to undergo treatment within 2 months.
